What types of projects are you best suited for?
We are best suited for projects that involve multiple phases of work, technical site conditions, or permit and inspection requirements. This includes site preparation, drainage and grading, driveways and access roads, concrete and hardscapes, outdoor living structures, and full residential construction projects. We excel when careful planning, coordination between trades, and proper sequencing are required to complete the project correctly.
What should I have prepared before requesting a quote?
Most projects require plans. These don’t always need to be fully engineered drawings, but there should be a defined scope, layout, and end goal so the work can be priced and built correctly. If your project involves multiple trades, structural work, or permanent improvements, permits and inspections are typically required. We can help prepare plans and guide you through the permitting process, but projects expecting to skip this step are usually not a good fit. Having this information upfront allows us to coordinate the work properly and provide an accurate quote.
How do you handle changes once a project is underway?
Changes are handled through a formal change order process. Any modification to the scope, materials, schedule, or design is reviewed for cost, timeline, and permitting impacts before work proceeds. Once approved in writing, the change is scheduled and completed in the correct sequence. This ensures the project remains organized, code-compliant, and fair for everyone involved.
How do I know if I’m ready to start my project?
You’re ready to start when you have a realistic budget range and a clear understanding of whether your project requires plans, permits, or multiple trades. Even if all the details aren’t finalized, knowing your goals, priorities, and level of planning helps the project move forward efficiently. When those pieces are in place, we can accurately evaluate the scope, coordinate next steps, and build the project correctly from the start.
What types of projects are not a good fit for your company?
If your main goal is to find the cheapest option, we’re probably not the right contractor. We focus on doing projects correctly, meeting code requirements, and delivering long-term value—not cutting corners.
Is there a minimum or maximum project size?
We are bonded to handle projects up to $5 million. While we don’t publish a minimum project size, our team is best suited for projects that require permits, inspections, and coordinated execution.
Do you provide free estimates?
We provide free estimates for many projects. For more complex construction work, we offer a paid estimating service that includes detailed planning and scope development. If the project proceeds, this cost is usually applied to the project deposit, and the materials prepared are yours to keep.
